Berni Ogan has been an avid equestrienne since she was a small child. She grew up competing in 4-H, Open Shows and dabbled some in the local Paint Circuit. She also competed on a drill team to a State Championship.

She was the Equestrian Program Coordinator at a local Residential Treatment Center for 5 years where she taught horsemanship to children with severe emotional issues.

Berni has 3 small children who are active riders. Because of this, Berni is very comfortable starting young children on their adventure to becoming life long riders.

The eldest, Audrey,  became the High Point 8 & Under rider at the POA Internationals in Lake St. Louis, MO in 2010 competing in her 6 year old year! Many of the other competitors were already 9 and aging out of that division!   Audrey will continue to compete in the 8 & under division in POA shows. Locally, in Open Shows she is very competitive in the 13 & Under division.

Olivia is 4 this year. She and her pony, Truly Blackburn, will be competing in the Novice Walk Trot Division in the local POA shows. In Open shows she will compete in the 10 & Under Walk Trot Division.  No more lead-line for this little horse girl!

Ethan has been blessed with the hand me down of Loneseome Siri Rainbow, or as everyone at the barn knows her, "Lilly".  Lilly is the pony that introduced us to the
world of POA's

When her children are older, she will again join the world of Horse Show Competition.

We have several wonderful school horses that can help your child learn what it takes to take care of, and ride these amazing creatures!  To make an appointment, call Berni at 541-912-9777 or e-mail at berni@pacificequestrian.net
